PB & J smoothie bowl

This smoothie bowl has got to be in my top 3 favorite smoothie recipes. There is something about the combination of oats, frozen strawberries, and peanut butter that achieves the perfect flavor and consistency.

1 1/2 sliced and frozen bananas

1/4 cup plain nonfat greek yogurt

1 TBS of natural peanut butter

1 TBS ground flax seed

1/4 cup rolled oats (GF optional)

Dash of cinnamon

1 cup (about 6 large) of frozen whole strawberries

Water or almond milk as needed

3 strawberries sliced and unsweetened shredded coconut for topping


Add all ingredients (except for toppings) into a blender. Blend until smooth and creamy, adding water or almond milk as needed to reach desired consistency, you may have to stop to scrape sides of the blender with a spatula. Pour into a bowl and add toppings.
